In April, 2007, the communities of Oxnard & Malibu united forces to stop the development of a dangerous and
polluting Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal in the ocean off our coast. The threat continues as several similar
projects are being proposed for the region, such as Northernstar’s Clearwater Port LNG Terminal, as well as
existing toxic sites such as the Halaco Metal Recycling Plant at Ormond Beach, all which endangers the marine
ecosystem as well as the people of our region.
We invite people from all communities to join us as we give thanks
and join forces to inform and educate our community to stop further threats to the ocean and the life it sustains.
